With the eventing season now well underway, here at the British Eventing Support Trust we’re looking forward to a busy calendar of events during May. We know none of you will need reminding that the start of May sees the return of Badminton Horse Trials, and we’re pleased to say that we’ll be there with two ticketed events. If you’re keen to support our cause and would like to meet some of your eventing heroes, you’ll want to snap up tickets quickly.
First up we have a course walk with Olympic, World and European gold medallist Tina Cook on Thursday the 9th of May! This is a wonderful chance to see what Tina thinks of this year’s course and we expect tickets to sell very quickly indeed. £5.00 per ticket will be donated to British Equestrian, the official charity of Badminton Horse Trials 2024, and every penny of the rest stays with us to carry out our vital work. Then, in the morning of Friday the 10th of May, we’re holding a coffee and catch-up session with Nicola Wilson! Like Tina, Nicola barely needs an introduction as a European gold medallist and Olympic silver medallist. Nicola’s story is interwoven with ours since her life changing fall at Badminton in 2022, and we’re so privileged to have played a small part in her recovery. This informal event is the perfect chance to pick Nicola’s brain about this year’s competition and hear first-hand what she’s up to at her North Yorkshire equestrian centre. The suggested ticket price is £5, but you can choose to add a donation to your booking if you’d like to support us further. The time of this event is TBC as we will be able to update you when Nicola has her broadcasting schedule, so please ensure you include an email address. You can purchase your tickets here

Then, after the dust has settled after the fun of Badminton, we’ll be gearing up for Belsay International Horse Trials! This super event takes place from Wednesday the 29th of May until Sunday the 2nd of June in Northumberland and we’re proud to be one of two charities being supported by the Belsay team this year. You’ll be pleased to hear that we’re busy planning a series of events to take place during the week, so watch this space!
