We are grateful to be a beneficiary of the Cycle 4 Caroline challenge, a 1000km bike ride in memory of Caroline March, an event rider who passed away earlier in 2024, two years after a life-changing fall.
The idea was created and is led by top international eventer Piggy March and her husband Tom, Caroline’s brother, this challenge is a heartfelt tribute to Caroline’s life and legacy. The goal is to raise significant funds for both the work we carry out here at The British Eventing Support Trust and Spinal Research, the UK’s leading charity focused on spinal cord repair and restoration.
Kicking off on the 20th of November at Blair Castle in Perthshire, Scotland, the ten-day route will take the riders through prestigious eventing venues including Bramham, Chatsworth, Burghley, Blenheim and Badminton before concluding at the Savoy hotel, London on the night of our black-tie Winter Ball on Saturday 30th November.
Alongside Piggy and Tom, the team undertaking this huge challenge includes our very own chair of trustees and three-time Olympian Ian Stark OBE as well as Alastair Wilson who alongside his wife Nicola are the Charity’s Patrons. Joining them is international event rider Holly Woodhead among others.
Your support is going to be crucial in helping the team reach their fundraising goal, so please donate whatever you can and share the news about Cycle 4 Caroline far and wide!
