The British Eventing Support Trust is delighted to announce that it has received a grant from Kairos Philanthropy, funding that will significantly enhance the charity’s capacity to support the mental and physical wellbeing of British Eventing competing members.
This generous funding will be used to assist riders competing at all levels of the sport, from grassroots right through to international and Olympic standard, during times of injury, illness or personal hardship.
“We are incredibly grateful to Kairos Philanthropy for this generous grant,” said Jane Hunter-Walsh, general manager of the British Eventing Support Trust. “The pressures of competitive sport, combined with life’s personal challenges, can take a real toll on event riders. This support helps us be there for more riders, exactly when they need it.”
Kairos Philanthropy was established by Kate James and Hans Bishop. Both Kate and Hans are keen supporters of eventing and the grant is an award from Kairos Philanthropy’s family grants’ programme.
